If it's gonna be out for very long... Or for good. Why not put
it to good use, reuse the scrap metal, or something. Instead of
leaving it there to remind people of that dreadful day.
Then again, leaving it there to serve as a reminder to current
outgoing ships would be a good idea as well, to make them remember,
and be alert/aware. So it does not happen again.
You probably missed my account of dangerous shipping behaviours by
some merchant vessels.
But then the PVs themselves are sometimes at fault. RSS Daring
once overtook my ship (that's always a BIG joke) with only 1-2
cables to spare.
My furious CO, a LTC, called up Daring's CO, a Major, and
screwed him upside down for that potentially dangerous act.
